University of Pittsburgh, Department of Africana Studies

It was really important to reflect the personality and mission of Africana Studies with color, texture and aesthetic.  Art Display Rails were installed throughout the space for easy access to switch out departmental artwork.  Maximum storage in rich walnut with a clean white accent was provided in offices.   Careful attention was paid to the seating options and developed using a “Chair Family” to maintain a cohesive vibe.  Overall the space reflects sophistication with a nod to heritage.
