We're proud to have been a part of University of Pittsburgh's gorgeous new research space on Centre Ave in Shadyside. The building, previously a vacant 1915 Ford plant, has been completely transformed into a visually striking, natural light filled, biomedical research hub filled with collaborative spaces and modern furniture. The adaptive reuse story of this building was always a driving force for the furniture selection. The Assembly represents the rich history of the Pittsburgh area, so we decided to incorporate a lot of classic MillerKnoll pieces to carry on the trend of local manufacturing, history, and timeless design that you see throughout the building.
