n January 30th, in collaboration with the Green Building Alliance (GBA) in Pittsburgh, PA, Workscape hosted an exclusive happy-hour event, inviting attendees to explore our recently renovated showroom. However, this event wasn't just about showcasing our space; it was a celebration of sustainability and innovation in design and construction.

The evening kicked off with attendees mingling and networking, sharing their passion for sustainability and exchanging insights. Lindsay Schwotzer, MillerKnoll's Market Development Executive, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "It was such a nice time networking and getting to share MillerKnoll’s strong commitment to sustainability and product innovation." Workscape's showroom provided the perfect backdrop for these conversations, serving as a tangible example of how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated into a physical space.

One of the highlights of the event was a guided tour of Workscape's showroom, led by knowledgeable staff who provided insights into the sustainable features and innovative design elements incorporated into the space. From energy-efficient lighting to reclaimed materials and green building practices, every aspect of the showroom demonstrated Workscape's dedication to environmental responsibility and thoughtful design.

Brad Spier from DIRTT, another participant in the event, emphasized the importance of sustainable construction practices, stating, "During the event we focused on the sustainable aspects of multi-trade prefabricated construction and how we help to keep large amounts of construction waste out of landfills." DIRTT's commitment to minimizing construction waste aligns perfectly with the ethos of sustainability championed by GBA and Workscape.

Kelsey Balka from MillerKnoll shared insights into their sustainability initiatives, including their ambitious 2030 sustainability goals. "We’ve been hard at work incorporating more sustainable materials into our products," she explained. "This event at Workscape was a great opportunity for us to come together and connect on these important topics."

Throughout the evening, attendees were not only inspired by the sustainable practices on display, but also by the collaborative spirit of the event. GBA members, industry leaders, and sustainability enthusiasts came together to share knowledge, experiences, and ideas, forging connections that will continue to drive progress in sustainable design and construction.

Inconclusion, the exclusive showroom tour at Workscape was more than just a networking event; it was a celebration of sustainability, innovation, and community. As we move forward, events like these serve as reminders of the collective responsibility we must create a better, more sustainable future. We extend our gratitude to Workscape and GBA for hosting such a meaningful and inspiring event, and we look forward to continuing the conversation and collaboration in the pursuit of a greener tomorrow.
