appy International Women’s Day! At Workscape, we celebrate the incredible women on our team and in our industry today and every day. As a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), we know firsthand the importance of fostering opportunities for women in business, design, and beyond. This year, we marked the occasion with an inspiring event that highlighted creativity, collaboration, and the powerful impact of women-led businesses.
Our showroom transformed into a vibrant gallery, thanks to the talent and vision of The Art Supply Co.. A certified woman- and disability-owned art consulting firm based in Pittsburgh, The Art Supply Co. is dedicated to curating dynamic, art-forward spaces by connecting developers, architects, and designers with local, living artists. Their expertise brought an incredible lineup of artists to our space, filling it with powerful and thought-provoking work that sparked conversation and admiration.
One of the event’s highlights was live portrait drawing, where guests had the chance to sit for custom sketches created by talented local artist, Sophia Pappas. This interactive experience not only celebrated artistic talent, but also gave attendees a meaningful keepsake to remember the event.
To make the day even more special, we partnered with queer-owned boutique catering business, Black Radish Kitchen, whose deliciously fun yogurt bar added a fresh and creative touch to the event. The combination of art, food, and community created an atmosphere that truly celebrated the spirit of International Women’s Day.
Of course, this event wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing partners at MillerKnoll, who continue to support initiatives that uplift women in design and workplace innovation. Their commitment to creating inclusive and inspiring spaces aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re grateful for their collaboration in making this celebration such a success.
